Refined Internal Tuning & Damping

Wharfedale’s engineers revisited airflow, bass port geometry, and damping materials to improve low-frequency control and clarity. Through laser interferometry, anechoic testing, CFD simulations, and extensive listening, the 12.Ci now delivers better bass articulation and more coherent transitions—especially important for dialogue clarity in home cinema systems.

Klarity™ Cone Mid/Bass Drivers

The dual 130mm Klarity™ cones are crafted from a mica-infused polypropylene blend, offering excellent stiffness-to-weight properties with very low distortion. A low-damping surround and ribbed cone geometry ensure smooth frequency response and fast, controlled dynamics.

Precision Magnet Assemblies

Each driver uses a carefully engineered magnet system with an aluminium compensation ring to reduce inductance variations. This results in cleaner transients, improved vocal clarity, and reduced intermodulation distortion—critical for centre channel performance.

25mm Textile Dome Tweeter

The high-frequency unit features a woven polyester dome with a high-loss damping coating for extended, smooth treble. Its minimal-waveguide front plate ensures wide dispersion, delivering consistent clarity across your listening area.
