Musical Fidelity MX-DAC DSD is a multi-input digital-to-analogue converter with USB connectivity supporting DSD as well as balanced outputs for premium grade systems.

Key Features

  • High-performance DAC
  • Small footprint for easy placement
  • Hi-res PCM and DSD128 support over USB
  • Two coax and two optical inputs
  • Balanced and un-balanced output options
  • Ultra-low distortion and wide soundstage

An outstandingly developed DAC

MX-DAC with DSD is the result of years of meticulous research and product development from Musical Fidelity. This carefully developed DAC is able to boast technical innovation, remarkable performance specifications and exemplary construction quality for truly remarkable value for money.

Low Noise, Low Disortion, Low Jitter

Featuring very low distortion, minimised noise along with an ultra-wide bandwidth, MX-DAC's performance rivals others DACS on the market. The jitter is estimated at 12pps while the ratio of signal to noise is minus 116dB (‘A’ weighted).

Excellent Stereo Seperation

The DAC achieves excellent stereo separation, 0.2 decibel linearity, flat frequency response and distortion under 0.00025% (at 1kHz) and under 0.0003% at (20kHz) all of which translates to state-of-the-art audio capability which immaculately implemented to ensure a fully neutral and precise D/A conversion of any digital input.

What connections does MX DAC use?

MX DAC offers twin coax inputs and dual optical inputs all of which are up to 24bit 192kHz PCM. The asynchronous USB also supports PCM format as well as DSD 64 and DSD 128. Every input from coax, optical or USB is processed in the DSD domain which brings a warmth and emotive tone to the audio that can't be replicated by simple digital conversion. MX DAC supports both single-ended and balanced outputs.

Impressive Build

New MX range has elegant aesthetics, available in black or silver, and impressive build quality. The sleek front panel and sturdy, solid housing are manufactured from exclusive custom-made extrusions using military-spec aluminium.
