A Modern Evolution of a British Legend

The LEAK Sandwich 100 reimagines one of British audio's most celebrated designs for the contemporary listener. The original Sandwich speaker of the 1960s was a landmark in low-distortion speaker engineering, and this new edition honours that legacy with aerospace-grade Rohacell foam sandwich cone technology — the same approach used in high-performance aviation components — bonded between aluminium skins to reduce break-up modes, deliver quick transient response, and play with minimal harmonic distortion.

Sandwich Cone Technology

The 5.75" mid-bass driver combines a long-throw motor system with the aluminium-Rohacell cone for extended low-frequency output from a compact enclosure. A 1.2" coated textile dome tweeter crosses over at 2.2kHz, with an audiophile-grade crossover using polypropylene capacitors, air-core inductors, and low-loss resistors ensuring precise phase coherence across the frequency range.

Classic Cabinet, Modern Engineering

The MDF cabinet with composite layers and internal bracing controls unwanted resonance, while dual rear-firing ports extend bass output down to 44Hz (–6dB). The retro-inspired walnut-finish cabinet with aluminium trim and removable cloth grille will feel at home alongside LEAK's wider product family.
